About Worksheet Bench

Why we build accurate, printable K–5 math practice for the adults who support student learning.

Maker's ledger

Useful practice should be easier to prepare and easier to inspect.

Worksheet Bench is an independent web publishing project for parents, teachers, tutors, and homeschool educators. It turns a bounded set of choices—grade, skill, difficulty, length, and page setup—into printable K–5 math practice with a matching answer key.

The website is designed for adults. Learners use the printed materials offline with the judgment and support of an adult.

What automation checks

The code checks defined facts, not instructional judgment.

  1. 01

    Specification

The selected grade, skill, and worksheet variant must match a published preset.

  2. 02

    Generation bounds

Deterministic generators build the requested number of unique problems inside supported mathematical constraints.

  3. 03

    Answer recomputation

Each saved computation is run through the same deterministic computation model again. The fresh exact value and printable answer text must match the stored answer.

  4. 04

    Release refusal

A worksheet with a mismatched preset, duplicate problem, invalid computation, wrong answer text, or wrong problem count is not released to the PDF renderer.

What adults still decide

Context remains a human decision.

  • Whether the skill is the right next step
  • Whether the length and difficulty suit the learner
  • How to explain, adapt, or stop the practice
  • Whether a worksheet supports—not replaces—broader instruction
